For over a decade, I wrestled with the mean voice in my head.
The one that hides.
The one that says you’re an idiot. You’re wasting your time. You’re going to embarrass yourself.
The one that says you’re too much. You’re not enough. You’re not the one.
The one that’s relentless.
The one that, once you finally hear it, you realize it’s been there the whole time.
Its only goal? Stop you from becoming who God created you to be.
And it is very good at its job.
Most people don’t even know it’s there. They think those are their own thoughts. They have no idea what’s running the show.
It didn’t happen overnight. But it did happen.
I kept going anyway.
I said yes to a part I wasn’t even sure I could pull off.
Spoiler: I wasn’t that good.
It ended up on Netflix anyway.
